ICS Ireland branch committee held it’s quarterly meeting in Cork September 7th. The Committee were delighted to avail of Port of Cork hospitality and use their board room for our meeting. When the meeting concluded, the committee were joined for lunch by local Cork based Branch members, students and guests including Mr. Brendan Keating, CEO Port of Cork, Captain Paul O’Regan, Harbour Master, Port of Cork and Mr. Conor Mowlds, Head of College at National Maritime College of Ireland.
Captain O’Regan kindly gave a very informative presentation to Committee and Guests on the Port’s development plans for their new container terminal facility at Ringaskiddy (http://www.portofcork.ie/).
ICS Ireland presented Port of Cork with a copy of “ Course and Speed Made Good” , The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Ireland 1974 -2014) and extend our best wishes and thanks to all at Port of Cork.
